1. Create Interview Script

Upload your resume to Google Drive. Open it with Gemini and use a prompt like: "Based on this resume, create a realistic 3-scenario Amazon L6 Security Engineer interview script in JSON format." (Use the script/template.json as a guide).

2. Setup Google Cloud TTS

To generate the high-quality audio:

Go to Google Cloud Console.
Enable the Text-to-Speech API.
Create a Service Account, download the JSON key, and save it locally.

Set your environment variable:

export GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS="path/to/your-key.json"

3. Generate & Publish

Save your script in the script/ folder and run:

python3 src/tts_generator.py script/your_script.json --publish

This will generate the MP3, update the metadata, and refresh the web playlist automatically.

4. Cost Information

Google Cloud TTS Neural2 voices cost approximately $16 per 1 million characters. However, there is a generous Free Tier (usually the first 1 million characters per month are free).

5. GitHub Pages Deployment

This project uses a custom site/ directory. To make your website live:

Push your changes to the main branch of your GitHub repository.
Navigate to your repository on GitHub and go to Settings > Pages.
In the Build and deployment section, change the Source dropdown from "Deploy from a branch" to "GitHub Actions".
Switch to the Actions tab at the top of your repository to monitor the "Deploy static content to Pages" workflow.
Once the workflow completes, your study player will be accessible at https://<your-username>.github.io/Study-English/.

6. Adding Images

You can insert images into the project by placing them in the images/ directory at the root or within the site/ folder. Reference them in your scripts or UI using relative paths.

7. Local Development (Fix CORS Errors)

If you see errors about manifest.json or CORS while testing locally, do not open the HTML file directly. Use a local server:

cd site && python3 -m http.server 8000

Then open http://localhost:8000 in your browser.
